Barbara Walters (Barbara Jill Walters) is an American television personality, broadcast journalist, and author. She is famous for hosting programs such as Today, The View, 20/20, and the ABC Evening News. Barbara is also the first female co-anchor of a network evening news program.

Walters worked as a co-host of the daytime talk show called The View. In addition, she is also a co-creator and co-executive producer together with her business partner, Bill Geddie which premiered on 11th August 1997.
While serving at The View, Walters managed to receive two Daytime Emmy Awards. This was because of her Best Talk Show in 2003 and Best Talk Show Host alongside Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, moderator Whoopi Goldberg, and Sherri Shepherd in 2009.

Walters joined The Today Show at NBC as a writer and researcher in the year 1961. She later became the regular “Today Girl,” handling lighter assignments and the weather.
