Jim Axelrod is a journalist from the United States of America. Currently, he works as the chief investigative and senior national correspondent for CBS News. In addition, Jim reports for all its programs and platforms. Axelrod’s journalism career began in the year 1989 at WVII-TV in Bangor, Maine.

Jim has received several awards throughout his career including the Peabody Award for his reporting on West Virginia. Axelrod also got an Edward R. Murrow award for his reporting on the genetic testing industry. Moreover, he also received a George Polk Award for his efforts in uncovering a multi-billion dollar pharmacy fraud. Jim has previously worked as the chief White House Correspondent for CBS News from 2006 to 2009. In 2009, he was named the station’s national correspondent.
